FotoWeek DC’s “Portrait in the Night”: Raccoon Sara

FotoWeek DC’s NightVisions “Portrait in the Night” event was last night.  Given Thunderball, Pretty Lights, Rex Riddem, Emancipator, Bassnector, a promo shoot for BobbyT, and finishing my tardy Earthdance set, I was trying to go for minimalistic.  Got pretty close.  Last night’s shoot was cold and late at night, and involved Sara–method acting the raccoon part–climbing through trees (on the edge of a four-story building) and investigating a dumpster under headlights in a scary little alley.   Doesn’t get much more fun than that!  Thanks to Sara for being a trooper in the cold, and thanks to Jared and Stacey for the help!

Here’s the image that the editors chose to be printed at FotoWeek Central:

…and a little different feel… I love the way her eyes seep through the mask…

Balancing on the edge of the dumpster…

…and caught in the headlights!

I also shot a handful of streetlight portraits on the way to FotoWeek Central to turn these in.  If you’re one of those folks, check back in a day or so, I’ll have them published. Thanks!
